As part of fulfilling RAA’s commitment to road safety throughout South Australia, the Road Safety Educator role delivers road safety education programs in preschool and primary school settings throughout metropolitan and regional areas. In addition, you will:
- Teach multiple lessons to deliver the Street Smart Primary road safety program to metro and regional schools across South Australia.
- Provide post-lesson online survey to relevant school contacts and promote completion of the survey.
- Assist with the design of new education programs including learning outcomes, lesson plans and content.
- Deliver other road safety education programs that may be developed as the program grows.
- Identify and implement improvements to RAA’s education programs current teaching pedagogies to create informative and engaging lessons.
About you
You are a confident and passionate self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a high performing culture. You’re passionate about helping our community and want to make a difference.
For this role, we’re also looking for:
- Excellent teaching experience, including behaviour management and engaging with students with various learning needs and abilities in a wide variety of school settings from Preschool through to Year 6.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current knowledge of the South Australian education system and the Australian Curriculum (ACARA)
- Intra state travel requiring overnight stays will be required.
- Excellent organisation and presentation skills.
