Hudson is proud to be partnering with the State Government to recruit for the position of Administration Officer (AO4) within the Contracting & Performance Management Branch of the Healthcare Purchasing Division.

Location: Brisbane CBD | State Government - Contracting & Performance Management Branch
Anticipated Duration: Temporary cpontract with full-time hours until 30 June 2025, with the possibility of extension.
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: $58.02 per hour + Super

About the Role:

The Surgery Connect program is a patient-focused State Government initiative that assists Hospital and Health Services (HHS) in providing timely treatment by engaging private sector suppliers. Since its inception in 2007, Surgery Connect has funded over 100,000 procedures.

As an Administration Officer (AO4), you will provide confidential, timely, and effective administrative support to the Surgery Connect team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a program that directly impacts healthcare delivery in Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:

Administration & Data Management
✔️ Input, update, and retrieve data from the Surgery Connect Activity Navigator (SCAN), the program's patient management database.
✔️ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of systems, processes, and policies related to administrative functions.
✔️ Undertake preparations for payment of accounts, including reconciliations, account coding, data entry, and documentation matching.
✔️ Generate reports and contribute to service improvements.

Compliance & Governance:
✔️ Ensure adherence to service quality standards, policies, and procedures to maintain high-quality, safe service delivery.
✔️ Interpret and provide advice on contractual terms under the Surgery Connect Standing Offer Arrangements.
✔️ Receive and escalate complaints, ensuring positive resolutions aligned with Surgery Connect and State Government policies.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
✔️ Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with policy guidelines.
✔️ Communicate effectively to understand stakeholder requirements and contribute to efficient service delivery.
✔️ Provide general administrative support functions that align with organisational goals and objectives.

Selection Criteria

Essential:
✔️ Experience in administrative support, preferably within a healthcare, government, or regulatory environment.
✔️ Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of medical terminology used in patient-centred activities.
✔️ Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data processing and record-keeping.
✔️ Experience with database utilisation and patient management systems.
✔️ Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
✔️ Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply government policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
✔️ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial/administrative systems.

Desirable:
➕ Experience in business process improvement to enhance efficiency.
➕ Understanding of State Government policies and procedures.
