- Total Remuneration $117,129 to $127,380 pa (including salary of $98,976 to $107,638 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

CQUniversity is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Functional Business Analyst to join our dynamic Digital Services Directorate. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and delivering data-driven recommendations to enhance CQUniversity’s major enterprise systems, such as the Student, Finance, and Timetabling Management systems.
As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively across various departments to gather requirements, assess business needs, and implement innovative solutions that improve efficiency and streamline processes. You will lead small to medium projects, working closely with both internal and external experts to drive change and deliver impactful results.

Key Responsibilities
- Business Process Analysis: Work closely with stakeholders to analyse and document business processes, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains. Develop functional specifications and user stories based on your findings.
- Solution Development & Integration: Leverage your technical expertise to facilitate the design and development of streamlined system solutions that complement existing system architecture and drive productivity outcomes.
- Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration: Provide insights, advice, and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment between business needs and technical teams.
- Problem-Solving: Take ownership of complex issues, resolving them independently or collaboratively to meet agreed service targets and minimise disruptions.

Position Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Business Analysis frameworks (BABOK or similar).
- Experience with business process modelling (BPMN, UML, or similar)
- Proven experience managing the entire business analysis effort including commitments and deadlines, prioritisation of tasks, decision making and issue management.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to engage stakeholders and achieve positive outcomes.
- Expertise in formal documentation writing methodology.
- Ability to apply project leadership skills to coordinate small to medium ICT projects.
- A degree with at least three years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Experience in Technology One applications. (Desirable)
- Exposure to Enterprise Architecture principles. (Desirable)
