The Team:
The Procurement Advisory team is responsible for the majority of goods and services contracts for the Department of Health (DoH) and Tasmania Health Service. The team works closely with our customers being Departmental staff, to focus on delivering efficiencies via the procurement function.
The Role:
Support the Department of Health in the monitoring and reporting of financial performance in relation to procurement activities including the undertaking of analysis and the preparation of reports detailing contract spend, identification of efficiencies; and calculation of any potential refunds/rebates owing to the Department.
You will need:
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of business systems, accrual and cash accounting concepts and accounting procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in research, investigation and analytical skills with an ability to clearly articulate the results and recommend actions to make improvements
- Demonstrated experience in computer systems with respect to financial, human resource and activity systems. High Level spreadsheet skills are essential.

Details of appointment:
Multiple permanent, full time, day worker positions, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary:
$98,255 to $103,069 per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
