About the Position

We are looking to welcome a Functional Family Therapist to provide a whole of family therapeutic approach to reduce the risk of abuse and harm to children.

• Full time position government funded until 30 June 2027 with possible extension.
• All model training, line supervision and external clinical supervision provided!
• Level 5 under the SCHCADS award. Salary range is $97,378 - $101,788 plus super.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Attending team meetings, supervision, and coaching sessions to ensure practice meets fidelity standards.
• Completing systematic assessments of family needs using prescribed clinical measures.
• Work collaboratively with families, team members and external stakeholders to meet the identified needs of the family. Embracing inclusivity, respectfulness, and professionalism at all times.

About You

• Relevant tertiary qualification (Allied Health, Social Work, Human Services) and applicable registration.
• At least 2 years’ experience providing case-management and/or therapeutic services to families, caregivers, young people and children in a child protection framework.
• The ability to deliver family-focused sessions that include all family members, recognise the underpinning attitudes behind the presenting behaviours, and motivate the family to try new skills of interacting with one another.
• Have an open attitude to feedback and the ability to integrate feedback from training and supervision into practice.

Other Requirements

• Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
