About the role
ARRCS are currently sourcing 2 x qualified and experienced Registered Nurses to support the clinical care of our residents within our Katherine facilities, Katherine Hostel Aged Care and Rocky Ridge Nursing Home.
These roles are offered on a permanent, full-time basis working 38 hours per week and at a salary of $44.20 - $46.43 / hour gross base (dependent on previous experience).
As an ARRCS Registered Nurse, you will provide clinical care to our residents within our facility. You will work across a rotating fortnightly roster which includes both day and night shifts and provide clinical and team leadership, supervision and support for less experienced clinicians and support workers to achieve people focused quality care in accordance with the ARRCS mission.
This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working and supporting aged care in remote locations. You will have a firm yet caring nature and be a hands-on person who is always willing to jump in and support the team when required. You will be able to demonstrate previous experience as a skilled Registered Nurse with preference to geriatric or aged care environment.
Skills and experience
To be considered for this role, we would require you to have the following:
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor of Nursing or similar qualification.
- Ability to liaise with a care team and to provide management and leadership to a small team.
- Knowledge of contemporary nursing practice.
- Ability and willingness to relocate (if required) and reside in Katherine, NT
- Demonstrated understanding of resident centred and residential based care services delivery.
- Knowledge and experience in Aged Care legislation – desirable however, not essential.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary and multi-cultural care team.
- Experienced in effective interpersonal and written communication skills.

Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS) was established in July 2014 and provides aged care and community services in the Northern Territory. The services were previously managed by Frontier Services.
ARRCS operates eight residential care facilities with a combined capacity of 385 beds, and 11 community care programs in Darwin, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Katherine, Mutitjulu and Docker River. Some of the services are specifically for Indigenous Australians.
Our staff aim to provide Territorians with services that are responsive to people’s needs now and as their circumstances change.
These services are available to older people, people with a disability, patients discharged from hospital or following a visit to their GP, and individuals and carers who are in need of support.
We help people in their homes, in the community, in our community care centres and residential aged care facilities.
