The Role

In this key leadership role, you’ll ensure every athlete experiences life-changing strength gains while overseeing daily operations to create a seamless, high-quality and welcoming environment. From managing athlete recruitment and retention to delivering exceptional coaching, you’ll balance strategic leadership with hands-on impact. You’ll Be:

• Innately passionate about the life-enhancing benefits of strength training, especially for people new to Strength Training.
• Kind and uplifting, fostering a welcoming and motivating environment for all athletes and coaches.
• A realistic optimist who balances ambition with practical execution.
• Obsessed with athlete success—because every single person is capable of and deserves meaningful and measurable results.
• Experienced in strength training coaching and open to learning new methods and technologies.
• Qualified as a Registered Physiotherapist (AHPRA), Accredited Exercise Physiologist (ESSA), or hold a Cert IV in Fitness.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Brand Ambassadorship

• Embody the VAMOS brand values—kindness, optimism, and athlete success obsession—in every aspect of the role.
• Inspire and lead a coaching team that shares in the mission of making people stronger, for life.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment that serves our athlete community with personalised attention and support.

Operational Excellence

• Manage all daily operations in VAMOS Balgowlah including the rostering and effective delivery of all coaching shifts.
• Implement health, safety, and compliance standards for a secure and premium workout environment.
• Oversee the session booking scheduling and day-to-day logistics to ensure smooth operations and workout experiences.

Athlete recruitment and retention

• Lead the business to achieve and maintain the targeted number of active athletes.
• Develop and execute strategies for athlete retention and acquisition and use data/insights to drive initiatives to improve athlete workout adherence.
• Manage all athlete membership management and administration/systems.

‘Hands on’ Coaching

• Deliver 25 hours per week of direct coaching as part of the Coach team roster, delivered via 5 coaching shifts per week.
• These shifts include coaching all athletes during their workouts and/or delivering 1-1 services such a new athlete assessments, sessions and check ins.
