
Business Development Manager – Industrial Gases

We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our presence in the industrial gases sector. This role is perfect for someone with a strong track record in B2B sales and a deep understanding of gases used in manufacturing, healthcare, food processing, and other industries.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll focus on identifying and securing new business while nurturing relationships with existing clients. You’ll work closely with our internal teams to provide tailored gas solutions that meet our clients’ specific needs. The role combines technical knowledge and commercial insight, engaging with industries like metal fabrication, welding, chemical processing, healthcare, food & beverage, and energy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow market share and meet revenue goals
- Identify and target new customers, while managing and expanding existing accounts
- Collaborate with procurement managers, engineers, and production teams to understand gas needs
- Work with internal teams to create custom solutions, including bulk supply, cylinders, and on-site generation
- Stay up to date on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
- Prepare proposals, pricing strategies, and negotiate contracts to close deals
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations and safety standards
About You
- Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management in industrial gases, chemicals, or related fields is advantageous
- Strong understanding of industrial gas applications like oxygen, nitrogen, argon, CO₂, and specialty gases
- Ability to engage with technical and operational stakeholders to offer value-driven solutions
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, and focused on achieving sales targets
- Experience with tenders and contract management is a plus
