About the Role
D A L T O N Catering, Queensland's premier catering company, is on the lookout for an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at headquarters in Fortitude Valley. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Head Chef and overseeing the daily operations of our bustling kitchen and staff.

What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting the Head Chef in managing and coordinating kitchen operations overall.
- Overseeing the preparation, cooking, and presentation of various high-quality menus.
- Collaborating with the team to create new and innovative menu items.
- Manage and train kitchen staff, ensuring food safety and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
- Manage stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of kitchen processes and procedures.
- Catering for private events at clients' luxurious homes.
- Executing corporate and luxury brand events.
- Cooking outdoor open fire events; no two days will be the same!
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Requirement: A minimum of 2 years experience as a Senior Sous Chef or in a similar role within a respected kitchen.
- Culinary Skills: Strong technical cooking skills and a comprehensive understanding of various culinary styles and techniques.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of chefs.
- Time Management: Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
- Ingredient Passion: A passion for utilising fresh, high-quality ingredients to create outstanding dining experiences.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Creativity: A solid culinary background is essential, as this role is creative and requires experience in menu creation. You must be capable of cooking!
