About the Role
GSHS is seeking a suitably experienced Speech Pathologist to join our friendly and expanding Allied Health team on a permanent part-time basis (48 hours per fortnight). The position offers a breadth of opportunity which may include hospital inpatients, outpatients, home visits and services to residential care facilities; together with education activities for both consumers and staff at Gippsland Southern Health Service (GSHS).
This role will involve a significant caseload of predominantly paediatric clients, with a small component of an adult caseload. We also provide services to NDIS clients. Experience or interest in these areas will be highly regarded.
As a Speech Pathologist at GSHS you will:
- Have appropriate qualification in Speech Pathology approved by Speech Pathology Australia and be eligible for membership to SPA.
- Provide exceptional and evidence based service delivery in the Speech Pathology department.
- Have the capacity to further develop your clinical and supervisory skills.
- Partake in quality improvement and research activities.
- Enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Like the challenge of a varied caseload, and display good organisation and time management skills.
- Depending on grading - providing clinical supervision and leadership to new graduates.
Staff have access to supportive staff mentoring, education and development programs. Salary Packaging is available for all staff. All applicants will be required to provide a current satisfactory police check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check.
