About the role
Part time Position, 3 days per week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
This is a centre-based role working as part of our Children's Therapies team and providing therapy for children and young people aged 0 - 16 years with autism and developmental needs.
As a Speech Pathologist, you will provide speech therapy at our autism specific preschool. You will have the opportunity to provide therapy within the natural routines of the day, working alongside educators, or within our therapy rooms whereby you can provide speech therapy to children and their families, building the capacity of families to work with their child.
About SDN Beranga
The SDN Beranga is an autism specific preschool that combines early education and early intervention and is designed to cater for the individual needs of children. The service has two therapy rooms that allows you to provide therapy to families to build their capacity to support their child. The teams at Beranga are all committed to providing strengths based, family centred supports to children and families.

What we are looking for:
- University qualifications in Speech Pathology and current SPA membership;
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with children with disabilities or development delays using a transdisciplinary model and strengths-based, family centred and play based approaches to paediatric intervention.
- Demonstrated ability and/or understanding of coaching, facilitating, and bridging approaches to build the capacity of culturally diverse families and adults in children’s lives
- Understanding of the NDIS and a strong ability to manage your time and meet targets (5 billable hours per day)
