This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Development Manager to join a leading development group specialising in retail and childcare projects.

This role offers broad exposure across the development lifecycle, from feasibility and planning through to approvals and delivery. You’ll work closely with an experienced team and gain invaluable hands-on experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in identifying new development opportunities, conducting financial modelling, market research, and feasibility studies.
• Work with councils, town planners, and consultants to support planning applications and ensure projects move through the approvals process.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, leasing teams, and internal development managers to coordinate project progress.
• Gain exposure to lease negotiations and tenant requirements, particularly within the retail and childcare sectors.
• Support the development team in tracking project milestones, managing risk, and ensuring timelines are met.

What We’re Looking For:

• 1–3 years of experience in property development, acquisitions, property analysis, or a related field.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret feasibility studies and financial models.
• An understanding of town planning, approvals processes, and/or construction is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
