The successful applicant will be responsible for the general ongoing gardening and keeping of the gardens, and landscaping of the Reptile Park as well as some general Maintenance activities from time to time. Reporting directly to the Park Manager the successful applicant will be a strong team player, with the ability to follow instruction easily and work without supervision. The successful applicant will have relevant plant knowledge and gardening / ground keeping and a high level of motivation. The position includes:

*General proactive garden maintenance routines.

*Planting new gardens around the park.

*Implementation of a year round weed management strategy

*Implementation of planting schedule seasonally to ensure gardens are presentable.

*Design, plant choice, budget management, ordering and implementation of new gardens around the Reptile park.

*Possession of a current manual driver’s license is essential.

*Basic writing and computer skills

*Planning and Time management skills

*Project quoting and management including reporting

*Supervision of staff members below this level

*General maintenance tasks including blowing paths, maintenance and repair of enclosures, irrigation etc
