About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Labourer to join our team at Prowall Construction. In this part-time role, you will be a vital part of the team, contributing to the successful completion of construction projects. The position is based in Doncaster, with travel to various sites across Melbourne.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Performing general labour tasks on construction sites, including site preparation, material handling, and assisting with the installation of retaining walls (steel and sleepers), drilling and site cuts, pouring bored piers, installing drainage and backfilling
• Operating basic machinery such as 1.7T excavator and 5T excavator and tools as required for different tasks on-site
• Supporting the team by ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Following health and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment for yourself and the team
• Assisting with site clean-up and maintaining a tidy work environment
• Reporting to supervisors and providing feedback on work progress
• Adhering to project schedules and assisting with time-sensitive tasks as directed
• Assisting with the unloading and distribution of materials as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a labourer in the construction industry preferably plumbing or carpentry background
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to carry out manual tasks on a daily basis
• Familiarity with construction equipment and machinery
• White Card (Mandatory)
• Working with Children Check (required on some sites)
• Excavator operator license (Mandatory)
• A strong focus on safety and reliability
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards work
• Willingness to learn and develop your skills on the job
