Role Overview: We have an exciting opportunity to join the Teman team as Village Manager at our vibrant community, Beacham by Teman in Gladstone, QLD. Part time 30 Hours per week, 9.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday, $75,000 pro rata ($2,277 per fortnight) + super
As the Village Manager, reporting directly to our National Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing this vibrant village within the township of Gladstone.
Being a perfect Teman Village Manager means you love people, you’re energetic, you go out of your way to help and support residents, and work closely with the broader Teman Team. These interpersonal, strong communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills are vital to the success in this role.
Key Responsibilities;
- Role modelling Team values in all interactions
- Creating great resident experiences and a sense of belonging
- Greeting everyone by name when you see them
- Being the driver of the village vibe
- Managing resident expectations
- Connect regularly with residents, and ensure regular communication continues
- The overall management of the village, including day-to-day operations, financial, material and people management
- Ideally, demonstrated experience and compliance with the Retirement Villages Act, Retirement Villages Interim Code, Retirement Village Regulations, and various Occupational Health and Safety regulations
- Preparation of monthly reports and monitoring of the operational budget monthly to ensure effective management of the Village
- Conducting village tours with prospective residents and following up with National Sales Manger
- Working closely with the National Property Services and Procurement Manager to deliver quality on-time refurbishments of vacant homes
- Actively supports and promotes customer feedback and effectively manages complaints aligned to the requirements of the Retirement Living Code of Conduct for quality improvement process.
What we are looking for;
- Your personality. Welcoming, caring, supportive, inclusive, positive and empathetic.
- Prior experience in managing people
- Prior experience in a customer service role
- A driver of results and customer satisfaction
- Ability to obtain or demonstrated knowledge of the Retirement Villages Act and understanding of the needs of older people
- High level of written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Strong computer skills
- Experience in preparing and managing budgets
- Experience in Property and Facilities Management
- Some exposure to construction would be beneficial
- Prior experience in the management of WH&S systems
- Must have Australian drivers licence
- A leader that is willing to get their hands dirty
