Are you an experienced sales professional with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships? Timberzoo is looking for a driven, customer-focused Sales Team Member to join our team and help us grow while delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Timberzoo is a family-owned small business, specializing in recycled Australian native hardwoods. We don’t need a timber expert, we can teach you that, but we do need someone with sales experience who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while contributing to our ongoing success.

What we’re looking for:
- Proven sales experience: You have a successful background in sales, a track record of exceeding targets, and a natural ability to build long-lasting customer relationships.
- A customer-first mindset: You know how to tailor your approach to each client’s needs and provide top-tier service.
- Strong communication skills: You can engage with a wide range of customers, from tradespeople to homeowners & DIYers, and effectively explain our products.
- A genuine interest in sustainability and recycled timber (you don’t need to be an expert, but you should be keen to learn!).
- Self-motivation and ownership: You’re driven to achieve results and take pride in seeing projects through from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer enquiries & orders: Manage the end-to-end sales process, from handling inquiries and providing quotes to overseeing logistics and ensuring efficient picking & packing of orders.
- Build strong customer relationships: Establish long-term connections with new and existing clients, offering expert advice and guidance on our range of timber products.
- Monitor stock levels: Stay on top of inventory, report sales trends, and assist with ordering, replenishment and stock management to ensure customers have the best possible experience.
- Support marketing initiatives: Assist with managing Timberzoo’s presence on various platforms (website, Instagram, Facebook, etc).
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Proven Sales Expertise: Experience in a sales role is essential. You should be adept at identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, nurturing leads, and converting them into loyal customers.
- Sales Process Management: You’re familiar with managing the entire sales process—from lead generation to closing the sale. You can effectively handle customer inquiries, provide accurate quotes, negotiate terms, and see each transaction through to completion. Your organizational skills help keep the sales process running smoothly and ensure follow-ups are timely and effective.
- Customer Relationship Building: Beyond just making the sale, you know the importance of building strong, lasting relationships. You’ve mastered the art of follow-up, keeping in touch with both new and existing customers, understanding their evolving needs, and positioning products to solve their specific challenges. You can turn a one-time customer into a repeat buyer through exceptional service and trust-building.
