Wagga Wagga City Council is seeking two (2) motivated individuals with suitable qualifications and experience to join our team to ensure the provision of quality surveillance services for Council's road network.
In this role you will be responsible for effectively working as part of the Maintenance Management Team to deliver quality asset assessment services for Council's road network and civil infrastructure.
- Commencing salary at $2,997.44 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,596.93 gross per fortnight + superannuation.

Your new role:
As an Asset Assessment Officer you will be responsible for:
- Undertake surveillance and condition assessment inspections of sewer and stormwater assets, and capture, upload, analyse and report on data collected relating to defects, risks, failures, and general maintenance needs.
- Respond and investigate customer service requests and process the request in accordance with Corporate and Technical and Strategy section protocols.
- Ensure the timely management and transfer of asset assessment data to the Asset Management System.
- Assist in the development of, and implement and maintain, condition assessment policies and procedures for specific asset groups.
- Assist the Wastewater Infrastructure Planning Engineer with the identification and assessment of site specific conditions e.g. environment structures, tree and property access in order to develop a comprehensive and robust maintenance and rehabilitation program across all Sewer and Stormwater assets.
- Assist the Sewer and Stormwater team with developing the long-term strategic needs of Council's assets.
- Undertake administrative duties relevant to the role.
What you will need to succeed:
We are looking for someone with:
- Qualifications relevant to the role e.g. Certificate III Information Technology or Spatial/Environment.
- Class C Driver's Licence.
- General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
- Tertiary qualifications inn Engineering or Asset Management. (Desirable).
- Experience relevant to the role including practical experience in civil construction/surveying, geographic information systems and global positioning systems; and
- Solid time management, planning and administrative skills.
In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation applicants are required to be vaccinated and provide evidence for Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B.
