About the role

We are seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team at MKD Transcorp in Chipping Norton, NSW.

In this critical role you will directly responsible for the compliance activities associated with the identification, on boarding, administrative management and ongoing compliance management of our Subcontractor Delivery Partners.

In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in the onboarding of the company's subcontractor fleet, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and the company's requirements.

What you'll be doing

• Ensure all Subcontractors engaged to perform work for and behalf of MKD TRANSCORP have MKD Agreement in place encompassing detailed scope, fleet and capability evidence. 100% compliance requirement.
• Apply a risk lens to the engagement and management of Delivery Partners.
• Ensure all relevant insurances, licences and statutory declarations are in place.
• To ensure all Subcontractors operate in compliance with NHVR & HVNL standards inclusive of NHVAS Maintenance, NHVAS Mass and NHVAS Fatigue (BFM) in addition to all Chain of Responsibility requirements.
• Regular and ongoing communication and training to subcontractors using best practice tools.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Operations teams, ensuring compliance with MKD policies and procedures for Subcontractor engagement and promote a culture of compliance.
• Preparing periodic reports for senior management on the company's risk and compliance status.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the company's risk and compliance practices

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in managing subcontractor compliance.
• Previous experience in a risk and compliance role, preferably within the transport and logistics industry.
• Thorough understanding of applicable laws, regulations and industry standards governing fleet management operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive and detail-oriented approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
