Role and Responsibilities:
As a Psychologist, or Masters Degree Social Worker with Virtual Psychologist, you will have the unique opportunity to work remotely as long as you have a strong and secure internet connection. Your primary responsibilities will include providing mental health services to a diverse clientele that encompasses youth, new mums, men, disaster-affected individuals, emergency services personnel, Domestic and Family Violence, Drug and Alcohol and many others. Please note the focus is on treatment and not assessment. You must be proficient in working with clients for 6-12 sessions using a range of theoretical frameworks such as CBT, ACT, Solution Focused etc. The interview process will require a case presentation, formulation and treatment plan as part of behavioural interviewing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting text-based counselling sessions across treatment of 6-12 sessions.
- Conducting video and audio counselling sessions across treatment of 6-12 sessions.
- Assisting clients in distress, including those affected by disasters and emergencies.
- Providing support and therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's needs.
- Working autonomously while attending online team meetings and supervision.
- Adhering to Virtual Psychologist's ethical guidelines and professional standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Australian qualification in Psychology or Social Work.
- Australian liability and indemnity insurance.
- Proficiency in providing remote mental health services via text, video, and audio.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a diverse range of clients.
- Access to a reliable and secure internet connection.
Provisional Psychologists will be considered if you are from the Gold Coast/Brisbane area and can attend an office.
Benefits:
- Flexible working hours - choose your own schedule but minimum shift availability must be 10 hours per week. (can break this up over 2-3 days)
- Select your options to work across 6 days per week but once you have chosen your shifts you cannot vary from week to week. We offer services from 8am-6pm AEDT 6 days per week.
- Remote work - work from anywhere in Australia. We welcome people based in the East to cover the later hours

Pay Scale:
Virtual Psychologist offers a competitive pay scale starting from $60 per hour (Plus superannuation), depending on your experience and qualifications. We recognise and value the expertise and dedication of our team members, and our pay structure reflects that commitment. We also offer supervision (Not part of the clinical endorsement program) and professional development.
Note:
Please mention your relevant experience in your cover letter when applying for the position. You MUST have treatment experience not just assessment experience.
