Promet is a national conveyor component and accessory specialist based in Bassendean, operating in the resource industry. Promet distributes, installs and services conveyors and accessories such as Scrapers, Trackers, Impact Beds and
Guarding to the mining and port industries in Australia.

As a trusted Australian conveyor component specialist, we collaborate closely with mining and mineral processing sites to enhance conveyor belt efficiency and longevity. Additionally, we provide tailored labour solutions to meet the needs of our clients across the Pilbara, Goldfields and the Greater Southwest.

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Supervisors, or Tradespeople with extensive conveyor knowledge, who are ready to take the next step in their careers.

Location: Promet Bassendean Workshop / Office and Client Remote Sites as directed.

Key Duties:
Pending individual project complexity and client requirements, role requirement may be for either:

• On-site with hands-on leadership as an experienced conveyor technician while mentoring and/or supervising the Promet Conveyor Service Team directly; or
• Off-site support of a designated Acting Supervisor, utilising electronic means to ensure quality compliance and project completion within the Promet Scope of
  Work.

Essential Requirements:

• Extensive previous experience with conveyor maintenance
• Proven leadership skills working in remote locations
• Able to perform mechanical-based duties in challenging working environments on
  12-hr shifts
• Be able to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screen
• Experienced and willing to work to a flexible ad-hoc schedule of regional shutdown shiftwork when required
• Proficient computer skills, particularly with MS Office
  Strong commitment to safety, high work ethic and enthusiastic attitude
• National Police Clearance within 6 months (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid C Class Drivers License

Highly Desirable:

• Trade qualifications - Mechanical Fitter, Boilermaker or similar
• High-risk work License - Elevated Work Platform, Rigging/Dogging, Forklift
• Current Working at Heights, Confined Space and First Fire Attack certificates
• Up to date inductions with multiple mining companies
• Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor certificate and/or other supervisory training
