About the role

We're seeking a dedicated Dispensary Technician to join our team at McCrossin and Phan pharmacy in St Albans, VIC 3021. This part-time role will see you play a vital supporting part in the efficient delivery of pharmacy services to our patients. As a Dispensary Technician, you'll be responsible for assisting the pharmacist in ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medication.

What you'll be doing

• Receive, process and prepare prescriptions for dispensing under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medications dispensed
• Perform stock management duties, including ordering, receiving and rotating pharmaceutical stock
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering their questions and concerns
• Assist the pharmacist with any other duties as required to support the efficient operation of the pharmacy
• Assist in preparing dose administration aids using MedsPro to support seniors and customers with special medication needs.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Dispensary Technician or in a similar role within a pharmacy environment
• Proficiency with Z Software for dispensing (or willingness to learn).
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with patients and the pharmacy team
• Sound knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures
• A team player attitude and the ability to work collaboratively
