Our participants, Our people, Our purpose

Currently, there are around 4.3 million Australians with a disability. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.

A new role awaits

The National Disability Insurance Agency’s Partners Branch manages agreements with early childhood and local area coordination partners to ensure positive outcomes for people with disability.

Their work includes driving the performance and practice of partners, ensuring they fulfil contractual obligations and influence and implement change effectively across the Partner network. The branch works with key stakeholders across the agency to devise solutions that best support people with disability and deliver agreed outcomes through the Partners in the Community (PITC) program.

Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in leading teams developing program or performance reporting, and data analysis to support program management and improvement. You have a passion for developing solutions to allow data to tell its story, supporting your stakeholders to drive performance and achieve program outcomes.

Where you can add value

As EL2 Director Data and Reporting, you will be responsible to lead a team developing and delivering reporting to manage and drive improvements in the partners in the community program. No one day is the same and you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks, your duties will include but not limit to:

  • Lead a team to develop and produce operational and performance reporting for the partners in the community program, to support monitoring of partner and program performance, drive program improvements over time, and assist branch teams to achieve their goals.
  • Maintain and improve existing reporting and dashboards with a continuous improvement approach, to support operational and contractual management of partner performance.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including branch and agency staff and partners in the community, to identify stakeholder reporting needs, and maintain mutually beneficial and productive working relationships.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify performance trends, provide insight to support executive reporting, and identify opportunities and risks.
  • Lead and implement systems to effectively manage branch, partner and stakeholder queries about data and reporting relating to partners.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you

The Successful applicant will have high level stakeholder engagement skills, supporting you to work collaboratively and identify stakeholder and partner needs when initiating the development of new reporting, managing enquiries in relation to partner data and reporting, and supporting data literacy across the branch.

You will value social inclusion and diversity and have a passion about the NDIA’s purpose and be familiar with APS Values, Code of Conduct and Employment Principles. An understanding of the purpose of the NDIS and the role of Partners is well regarded.

Ability to collaborate effectively, be solutions focused, and bring a continuous improvement mindset to the Agency will also be desired.
