The Role
Due to recent major investment funding we are recruiting for an experienced Installations Manager, this is a newly created role reporting directly to the Operations Manager overseeing the physical installations of our Digital Advertising Hardware.
We need a true problem solver, someone who can adapt and think on their feet and use their previous project management experience to drive continual process efficiencies in an ever changing fast moving environment. Along with leading a growing team of Project Managers / Coordinators we are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to be hands-on when the Project team needs support.
Responsibilities
- Drive team to deliver monthly installation targets, understand how individual projects affect the overall portfolio and exercise judgement in raising issues and risks to the portfolio level.
- Be proactive and exercise initiative in identifying, tracking, and removing impediments to installation success.
- Approach risk identification and mitigation accordingly, including establishing contingency plans and initiating corrective action.
- Liaise with Project Managers, Project Coordinators and other business units, as well as vendors.
- Manage overall project reporting, handle conflict/issues, and track progress.
- Present program status updates to Management
- Maintain strong customer focus while coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders, vendors and resources using effective verbal and written communication.
- Provide leadership to the PMO Team, foster a positive team environment, and provide direction in ambiguous situations.
- Use negotiation skills, influence and creativity to achieve successful outcomes around scope, schedule, costs/budget, issues/risks, and resources.
- Vendor management and ownership of overseas procurement of hardware
- Ownership of PMO training and onboarding
The key skills and experience required for this role are:
- Previous direct installation project experience
- Previous Management of a team
- Certifications in either Prince 2 or PMBoK
- Exposure to the retail and hospitality sectors including Centre Management experience would be deemed highly desirable
- Ability to read floor plans and technical drawings
