We are seeking an independent lawyer to assist us on a contract basis for a special project.

The successful candidate will:

• Be operating independently
• Be capable in mediations and negotiations, including appearing in court hearings
• Be able to manage all aspects of commercial law cases from initial consultation to resolution
• Be confident and proficient in either of the following areas of commercial law:

1. Business law, including the sale, purchase and restructuring businesses
2. Corporate law, including the formation, governance, compliance and dissolution of corporations, mergers and acquisitions, corporate structures, directors' duties, shareholder rights, shareholder/unitholder agreements, insolvency, asset protection
3. Civil litigation, including debt recovery enforcement, warrants, statutory demands and bankruptcy proceedings

Working on this project would suit an independent lawyer seeking flexibility and wishing to establish their own business (and seeking secure project income whilst doing so).

We have commercial offices in Cleveland which can be utilised.

Pay Arrangements

• Agreed Project Fees based on estimate and $180-$240+GST per hour depending on your pace, proficiency and focus, very flexible working arrangements
