About the role

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Trade Counter Representative to join our team at Thinkwater Whitsunday in Proserpine, QLD. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing sales, and assisting with various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of our retail store. Our Retail Team focus on delivering our customers (domestic, commercial, agricultural and industrial) honest advice and high quality service.

What you'll be doing

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Process sales transactions, including cash handling and operating the point-of-sale system
• Provide product information and recommendations to customers
• Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing retail environment
• Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
• Perform general administrative duties as required.
• PLEASE NOTE - This role would best suit someone with agricultural/pumps interests rather than traditional retail experience.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a customer service or retail role (within a trade center or hardware store)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive work environment
• Attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures
• Be prepared to work indoors in a well-ventilated area that does not have air conditioning.
