The Role

The ICT Project Manager will lead the transition and deployment of ICT services, overseeing the seamless integration of new solutions and ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects. Reporting to the Director of Digital, you will manage vendor relationships, guide procurement processes, and ensure that the technology solutions meet the required specifications for functionality, security, and disaster recovery.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Support ICT projects through the transition and deployment of new services, ensuring all components are tested and deployed seamlessly.
• Coordinate with the Director - Digital for the establishment of service provider contracts and procurement documentation.
• Manage ICT transition from current solutions to the required comprehensive service, including disaster recovery and high availability.
• Lead vendor evaluation and selection, providing recommendations to resolve complex issues.
• Oversee project schedules, deliverables, and governance, ensuring the successful completion of ICT projects within budget and timeline constraints.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership Team, Department of Health, and external vendors, to ensure project alignment with organisational goals.
• Manage project risks, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with stakeholders' expectations.
• Provide guidance and support for ICT transition activities to ensure project success.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A minimum of 5 years of ICT project management experience, with a focus on large-scale projects.
• Proven experience in transitioning and deploying ICT services in a healthcare or public-sector environment.
• Strong knowledge of hybrid-cloud environments, disaster recovery, security, and virtual technologies.
• Experience with large-scale data migration, integration programs, and managing complex ICT projects across multiple sites.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies such as PRINCE 2 or equivalent.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage with senior leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in the Victorian Health Sector and an understanding of the sector's specific requirements.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to deliver cost-effective solutions while maintaining project quality and alignment with strategic goals.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage conflicting objectives and complex project scenarios.
