About the Opportunity

The Electrical Estimator will play a key role in assessing and estimating project costs, managing project budgets, and helping secure new business for the company. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and has a deep understanding of electrical systems and installation.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine costs
• Prepare detailed, accurate estimates for electrical projects in commercial, open space and light industrial sectors
• Source pricing for materials and labour, and create estimates based on industry standards
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure comprehensive project estimates
• Perform take-offs from electrical plans and provide budgets for labour, materials, and equipment
• Prepare project bids and proposals for submission
• Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers
• Identify potential cost-saving measures and recommend changes

What We’re Looking For

Are you ready to make an impact with DSTech? We’re seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

• 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably within a contracting environment
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, codes, and safety standards
• Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects
