Your new role

• Provide exceptional customer service to our municipal, residential and commercial customers.
• Help manage site operations for the acceptance, handling, and haulage of various waste and recyclable products at the West Metro Recycling Centre in Shenton Park.
• Operate HC and HR class trucks, plus a variety of plant and equipment.
• Use your mechanical and maintenance aptitude to support maintenance activities across the site.
• Assist with ensuring the facility is clean, tidy, safe, and welcoming.

What you will need to be successful

• Reliable, positive attitude, team player
• A willingness to learn is essential
• An HC licence is preferred. Consideration may be given to suitable HR licenced operators who are ready to upgrade.
• Forklift (LF) HRWL (desirable)
• Front End Loader ticket and experience (desirable)
• Waste management experience is not required but will be well regarded.
• A demonstrated aptitude for maintenance / handywork is desirable, but not essential.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical

About us

WMRC is a regional local government established to provide waste recycling, transfer and haulage services to Perth’s central western communities and organisations. The West Metro Recycling Centre in Shenton Park operates seven days per week and provides a range of residential, commercial and municipal transfer services focused on community recycling and waste transfer activities.
