GDP Industries is a social enterprise offering support and employment for people with disabilities within the NDIS and has been operating in Geelong for over 50 years. We are a small extremely successful organisation with a family atmosphere, focusing on building a inclusive strong culture and are currently looking for a experienced Supervisor to join our team.

Job tasks and responsibilities

The Supervisor is responsible to:

• Build a positive inclusive culture.
• Coordinate and allocate resources to ensure safe operations within the Geelong Recycle and Resource Centre and other GDPI sites.
• Ensure all processes are running efficiently and promptly, through the quality management system.
• Ensure all company policies, procedures and legal/regulatory requirements (such as OH&SE, NDIS etc) are complied with at all times.
• Monitor operations to ensure efficiency, profitability and high-end customer service.
• Identify areas of inefficiencies and suggest improvements in consultation with the Site Manager.
• Enhance GDP Industries reputation with customers and industries through accuracy, efficiency and great customer service.
• Work collaboratively with the organisation to ensure robust structures and systems are in place to deliver services of excellence.

Skills and experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory or equivalent role.
• Appropriate qualifications or industry experience within the waste management and or recycling industries.
• A demonstrated understanding of:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Lead by example to motivate staff and promote high work standards.
• Adhere and follow policies, practices and procedures.
• Prior experience working with people with disabilities advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to contribute in a collaborative and team context
