About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer to join our thriving legal practice in the heart of Melbourne. As a Senior Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal services to our diverse client base, focusing on litigation, dispute resolution and general commercial matters. This is a full-time position based in our Melbourne CBD office.

What you'll be doing

• Manage a varied caseload of litigation and dispute resolution matters, working closely with clients to understand their unique legal needs
• Conduct thorough legal research, prepare detailed briefs, and draft high-quality legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits, and submissions
• Represent clients in court proceedings, negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution processes
• Provide strategic advice to clients on risk management and dispute resolution strategies
• Mentor and support more junior members of the legal team
• Contribute to the growth and development of our legal practice through business development activities

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 3 years' post-admission experience in commercial and property law, ideally you will have working proficiency in Mandarin (Chinese).
• Demonstrated expertise in managing complex legal matters from inception to resolution
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to clients
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with the confidence to represent clients in court and other legal proceedings
• A strategic mindset, with the ability to provide clients with practical, commercially-focused advice
• A genuine commitment to providing exceptional client service and building long-term relationships
