About the role
The Coordinator Tree Maintenance is responsible for managing the City’s tree maintenance programs and processes, including budgets, staff and contractors.
How you’ll make a difference
You will oversee all the operations related to tree maintenance for the City to ensure that we provide the agreed level of service in accordance with the City’s objectives:
- Work with the Asset Custodian for trees, to provide recommendations and allocate resources that ensure the level of customer service consistently meets service level agreements and other documented standards.
- Support the development of accurate Reactive & Juvenile tree maintenance work orders.
- Perform in the capacity of Superintendent’s Representative for contracts where required and review SAP tree contactors’ allocated work tasking.
- Assess and action tree removal work applications in consultation with the City Arborist and in accordance with Council’s relevant policies.
- Understand risks to business outcomes and take appropriate action to limit adverse impacts.
- Apply commercial concepts to the tree maintenance section, including managing budgets, and evaluating and measuring processes to ensure efficiency.
- Manage staff, fleet, plant and materials, as well as procedures to maximise outcomes in terms of quality and productivity.
- Lead and demonstrate customer-centric behaviour, ensuring a positive customer experience, through effective communication with Supervisors, field staff, contractors, customer contact, asset custodians, Coordinators, and other personnel.

- Diploma in Leadership and Management or equivalent experience
- C Class Driver’s Licence
- General Construction Induction White Card
