Team Somerset is seeking a passionate Parks and Open Space Coordinator who has an eye for preserving and enhancing our community parks, gardens and open spaces.
As Parks and Open Space Coordinator you will lead the transformation of Council’s parks and open space through overseeing and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Parks and Gardens team through the provision of strategic and technical advice and leadership in the pursuit of keeping Somerset’s parks, garden and open spaces clean, green and safe for the enjoyment of residents and visitors alike.
To be successful in the role, you will require:
• Experience in the management and coordination of small teams and contractors in parks, gardens, landscaping, and open space environments.
• Knowledge of maintenance and construction practices in the parks, gardens, and open space industry.
• High level interpersonal and communication skills.
• Well-developed time management and organisational skills.
