About the position:
Through the effective leadership of the Youth Development Team, the Coordinator plays a key role in contributing to the creation of a well-connected youth network community and support for young people to be engaged, resilient and reach their potential in accordance with the City of Greater Geraldton Strategic Community Plan. The position will coordinate and advise on the planning, implementation and monitoring of the youth programs and activities across the City of Greater Geraldton.
Key accountabilities:
• Lead and support the Mullewa Youth Development Officer and their team to ensure the effective delivery of services at the Mullewa Youth Centre.
• Lead planning and activation for the Geraldton Youth Centre, including ensuring delivery of an effective management model and appropriate engagement with stakeholders to deliver programming to grow use of the centre.
• Oversee the effective implementation of a range of youth development programs and events in accordance with strategic direction and grant funding requirements, including school holiday programs, Late Night Basketball, Game On!, Youth Vibrancy program and other initiatives as they arise.

Position requirements:
The City is looking for a candidate with experienced in the youth services sector, experienced in leading and supporting teams and applying analytical skills and strategic thinking to plan, deliver and review youth programs and events.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
A salary range between $97,157 – $108,700 per annum will be offered dependent on the knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications of the successful candidate as it relates to the requirements of the position.
