Summit Built is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Carpenter to join our growing team in Wollongong, NSW. As a key member of our construction crew, you will play a vital role in the completion of high-quality residential building projects. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career development.

What you'll be doing

• Perform skilled carpentry work, including framing, roofing, flooring, and finishing tasks.
• Read and interpret plans/specifications to ensure accurate and efficient execution of work
• Collaborate with the construction team to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met
• Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members as needed
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our construction processes and practices

What we're looking for

• Formal carpentry qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Carpentry) or equivalent extensive experience
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on carpentry experience in residential or commercial construction
• Strong knowledge of building materials, methods, and industry best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management
