About the role

We are seeking applications from a personable and friendly Human Resource (HR) Generalist to join our HR team. The position is based in Laverton North, and reports to the HR Manager.

Key duties/Responsibilities

• Providing advice, support and coaching to employees, driving continual improvement and conformance.
• Leading field recruitment campaigns in conjunction with Business Unit Managers
• Creating contracts and HR documentation
• Coordinating training, ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Collaborating with Business Unit Genral Managers, Safety and support functions
• Interpreting Enterprise Agreements and provide IR advise
• Updating and creating policies & procedures – providing best practice suggestions
• Preparing internal monthly and quarterly HR reports along with Vinci Group reporting
• Managing and developing HR strategies that are to be delivered across Business Units in order to achieve continual improvement
• Overseeing the Return to Work process including both personal and Workcover claims
• Recruiting and administering Apprentice and Graduate programmes
• Fostering and supporting a collaborative and transparent culture

Skills/Experience

• Ideally 2-3 years’ experience in operational HR and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or similar (experience in the energy industry would be advantageous)
• Enterprise Bargaining Agreement exposure/experience within blue collar environment
• Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to work in and contribute to a team environment
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel & word
• Displays initiative and creative problem-solving ability
• Experience in using a Human Resource Information System

Must be available for occasional interstate and intrastate travel.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol test
• A Current Drivers Licence
