About the role
We are seeking applications from a personable and friendly Human Resource (HR) Generalist to join our HR team. The position is based in Laverton North, and reports to the HR Manager.
This is a great opportunity to continue building your HR foundations but also implement initiatives that are close to your heart and contribute to our culture within the business.
Key duties/Responsibilities
- Providing advice, support and coaching to employees, driving continual improvement and conformance.
- Leading field recruitment campaigns in conjunction with Business Unit Managers
- Creating contracts and HR documentation
- Coordinating training, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Collaborating with Business Unit Genral Managers, Safety and support functions
- Interpreting Enterprise Agreements and provide IR advise
- Updating and creating policies & procedures – providing best practice suggestions
- Preparing internal monthly and quarterly HR reports along with Vinci Group reporting
- Managing and developing HR strategies that are to be delivered across Business Units in order to achieve continual improvement
- Overseeing the Return to Work process including both personal and Workcover claims
- Recruiting and administering Apprentice and Graduate programmes
- Fostering and supporting a collaborative and transparent culture
Skills/Experience
- Ideally 2-3 years’ experience in operational HR and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or similar (experience in the energy industry would be advantageous)
- Enterprise Bargaining Agreement exposure/experience within blue collar environment
- Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to work in and contribute to a team environment
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel & word
- Displays initiative and creative problem-solving ability
- Experience in using a Human Resource Information System
Must be available for occasional interstate and intrastate travel.
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol test
- A Current Drivers Licence
