We are seeking a hands-on, visionary, and execution-focused Tech Lead to drive the technological evolution of CoTreat.ai. This leader must balance deep technical expertise, product vision, and strategic foresight, ensuring CoTreat.ai scales effectively while maintaining technical excellence and innovation.

This person will work closely with the founders (both domain and technical) and play a critical role in CoTreat.ai’s trajectory, helping build solutions that improve both dental practices and patient outcomes.

  • 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with demonstrated expertise in building and scaling complex systems
  • Strong full-stack development background with proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js and Python; experience with additional backend languages is valued
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems and microservices architecture
  • Deep experience in high-volume data processing and image processing pipelines
  • Practical understanding of ML/AI technologies, particularly in computer vision and LLM applications
  • Strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, with experience handling sensitive data and implementing PII protection measures
  • Expertise in cloud infrastructure (GCP), including cost optimization, automation, and infrastructure as code
  • Demonstrated ability to make architectural decisions that balance technical excellence with business objectives

3. Engineering Leadership & Team Development

  • Track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams through periods of rapid growth
  • Hands-on technical leader who actively participates in code reviews, architectural discussions, and critical problem-solving
  • Experience implementing and refining agile methodologies to improve team efficiency and delivery
  • Strong track record in risk management, including technical debt, scaling challenges, and security concerns
  • Proven ability to attract, retain, and develop engineering talent through effective mentorship and career development
  • Experience in establishing engineering best practices, coding standards, and technical documentation
  • Skilled in translating business requirements into technical roadmaps and delivering results through team execution
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and engineering excellence
  • Experience managing multiple technical workstreams while maintaining code quality and team velocity

Compensation

$180k - 200k + Super, and potential ESOP
