The Role:
My client is seeking a Senior Contract Administrator, that will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the contractual aspects of our residential construction projects. This will include everything from contract negotiation to project delivery, ensuring we stay on track and within budget. You'll be the bridge between the project teams, contractors, and clients, keeping things running smoothly and efficiently.
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Administer contracts from inception to completion, ensuring all parties meet contractual obligations.
- Manage the tendering process, including reviewing quotes, negotiating terms, and finalizing agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Oversee project financials, including monitoring budgets, variations, claims, and progress payments.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to contracts, legalities, and project timelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Mentor and guide junior contract administrators and collaborate with the wider construction team to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal processes.
- Administer construction contracts and ensure that subcontractors and suppliers meet all terms and conditions.
- Help manage budgets, track costs, and provide ongoing analysis to ensure projects stay within financial limits.
- Manage and track variations, claims, and extensions of time, ensuring all documentation is accurate and aligned with project progress.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and progress payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
Who We're Looking For:
- Must have primarily Residential experience - Tier 2 is ideal.
- Experience in working on high value projects.
- Someone who has demonstrated stability and does not jump every 1-2 years from employer to employer.
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- At least 5+ years of experience in contract administration within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in contract management software and the MS Office Suite.
