At Churches of Christ, we’ve been supporting communities for over 140 years, positively impacting thousands of lives. Now, we’re looking for a Practice Advisor to drive service excellence in Children, Youth & Family Services.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Advise, support, and build capacity in service teams.
  • Lead training initiatives and foster continuous improvement.
  • Assist with policy development and implementation.
  • Review critical incidents, identify trends, and drive systemic improvements.
  • Provide expert consultation on complex cases.
  • Work closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to ensure culturally inclusive services.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • A degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Social Sciences.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in child and family services, preferably in statutory care.
  • Knowledge of child protection frameworks, trauma theory, and family violence legislation.
  • Strong training, coaching, and advisory skills.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • A current driver’s licence.
  • A current National Police Certificate, Working with Children (Blue Card), Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS) – or the ability to obtain.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment.
  • Experience in policy development and service improvement.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems or e-learning tools.
