About us Grand Pacific Health (GPH) is a for-purpose community-based organisation. GPH provides high quality health services to assist people in the management of their physical and mental health. GPH’s mission is to provide equitable heath care with an emphasis on helping vulnerable and at risk of disadvantage populations as well as regional communities. GPH employs over 420 staff including many qualified health and other professionals including peer workers and community workers. GPH operations cover a large regional footprint in NSW and ACT. About the position An exciting opportunity is available for a WHS and Wellbeing Advisor to join our team. Using your experience and knowledge in Work Health and Safety (WHS) you will help promote and maintain a safe and healthy workplace. This will included developing and implementing WHS policies, procedures, and initiatives across all our hubs. You will also support employee wellbeing particularly focusssing on mental health wellbeing. This position will involve:

  • Work Health and Safety (WHS) Compliance and Risk Management
  • Employee Wellbeing & Mental Health Initiatives
  • Training, Consultation & Engagement
  • Injury Management & Return to Work Support

The opportunity is available full-time, initially for 2 years with the strong possibility of ongoing employment. Full-time positions have the opportunity to enjoy a Rostered Day Off each month. There is also an option to work part time, a minimum of 30 hours per week. You’ll be based in our Wollongong Office with regular travel to other hubs. We are looking for someone with:

  1. Relevant qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related field.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of NSW and ACT WHS legislation and standards, risk management principles, and wellbeing best practices.
  3. Experience in a similar position ideally within health, community services, mental health and multi-site and/or large organisations.
  4. Return-to-Work Coordinator certification or relevant experience, and experience with injury management and workers compensation.
