About the role

We are seeking an experienced Resource Planning Manager to join our dynamic team at Technical Maintenance Support. In this full-time role based in Geraldton, WA, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and coordination of resources to support our mining and energy operations.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and manage workforce planning, mobility and resourcing strategies to ensure optimal resource levels, aligning workforce availability with forecasted operational and job demands
• Oversee resource planning processes to optimise resource allocation, maximise utilisation, and minimise operational disruptions.
• Ensure workforce availability aligns with peak operational periods.
• Monitor daily resource levels in real-time to adjust to operational demands, addressing shortfalls and other items that may impact service levels. Ensure rapid response to unplanned demands or workforce shortages.
• Coordinate with asset management teams to align workforce with asset availability, ensuring that resources are efficiently deployed to meet operational requirements

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience (5+ years) in resource planning, preferably within the mining, resources or energy sectors
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision making skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as engineering, operations management or business analytics
