The City of Karratha is seeking a passionate and skilled Project Manager Community Planning to lead the strategic planning, coordination, and design of vital community infrastructure projects. About the Role
Under the guidance of the Manager Community Planning, you will:
- Lead the planning, design, and coordination of new and upgraded community infrastructure projects.
- Develop strategies, masterplans, and concept designs to support future infrastructure implementation.
- Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies to ensure projects align with community aspirations.
- Secure funding opportunities through grant submissions and partnerships.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration of project activities across departments.
- Provide technical advice and oversee research related to community infrastructure planning.
What We’re Looking For
- A tertiary qualification in Recreation and Leisure Planning, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Infrastructure Project Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in urban planning, site design, or infrastructure project management, with a focus on recreation and civic facilities.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, stakeholder engagement, and contract management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive, innovative thinker with a commitment to sustainability and inclusivity in planning and design.
