We are looking for an experienced and passionate Leading Hand that is eager to progress within our expanding Construction Team.

With a vision to think differently for all projects, CBEM’s focus is adding value by engaging with the client and assisting them with feasibility studies and assisting them with their design to ensure the best outcome is achieved for both the client and the business.

Responsibilities

• Ability to lead a small crew.
• Strong construction knowledge, particularly in land subdivision projects.
• Demonstrated compliance with all safe working policies and practices at all times.
• Participate in, and when required, conduct toolbox and pre-start meetings.
• Maintain plan and site integrity for cleanliness/tidiness.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of project quality requirements and stipulated outcomes for the project through specifications, plans, technical drawings and permit requirements.
• Actively support the Site Supervisor to meet productivity, budget and quality targets for the project.
• Demonstrated experience with the operation and/or supervision earth moving machines.
• Manage the activity of site labourers and subcontractors.
• Ability to interpret drawings/plans.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years relevant experience as Leading Hand
• Experience in roadwork and bulk earthworks
• Strong and clear communication skills
• Demonstrate a ‘hands on’ approach with the capacity to lead by example.
