Due to significant growth and demand within our South Australian business, we are seeking a Leading Hand to join the team.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Ensuring project construction activities are carried out in a safe manner.
• Assist Site Managers in completing required documentation such as daily forms, traffic Management inspection, trench inspection, safety pre-starts and other such forms.
• Assist Site Manager in monitoring the quality of work being performed on site and that it meets the requirements of the project.
• When acting as Site Manager, liaise with Project Manager regarding time and costs parameters
• Assist, and when required, be responsible for the implementation of Inspection & Test Plans.
• Order materials and other project related goods and services
• Liaise with members of the public and stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role you must have the following:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role is essential
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering projects on time to schedule
• Operator experience will be looked upon favourably
• Someone who is hard working, reliable, motivated and shows a strong sense of initiative
• A can-do attitude
• Strong commitment to safety
• Excellent communication skills
• Be fit and healthy and prepared for physical manual labouring work
• Be able to lead/manage small teams
• Be able to work within a team in a hands-on capacity
• Current driver’s licence essential
