A rare opportunity for a commercial-thinking, well-organised WHS Principle Consultant to be hands on with WHS strategy and development for clients

• $150-170k + super

About the role:
In this role you'll be considered 2IC to the General Manager, to identify gaps within client's WHS practises and consult on creating a strategic customer strategy, whilst simultaneously assessing from a boots-on-the-ground perspective. You will also be involved in creating content and materials relating to WHS and be able to coach, mentor and present your strategies in front of Senior Stakeholders to influence the business positively.

Looking for a Safety professional that has credentials and real-life examples of positively influencing safety strategy within previous roles and have put theory into practise. In saying that, someone with the right attitude - commercial acumen joined with ensuring the safest business practises coupled with real-world practises, will be considered.

• Assessing current WHS practises
• Building and executing customer strategy
• Being able to influence senior leadership
• Have consulted clients / companies on strategies previously
• Coaching and mentoring
• Contributing to strategic plans and visions
• Provide leadership on emerging WHS trends and practises
• Maintain professionalism
• Develop industry-specific WHS improvement strategies (Automotive)
• Contribute to WHS material - e.g. publications and newsletters
• Foster team and member relationship
• Provide 2IC support to GM - meaning you will be expected to work autonomously in addition to team collaboration

About you:
A WHS professional who can take accountability and drive strategic opportunities for the business.

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Ideally 10 years’ experience in senior WHS management, consulting experience preferred.
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
• Statement of Attainment in Internal Auditing.
• Automotive industry experience desirable, but not essential
