FHEOM (Fulton Hogan Egis O&M Pty Ltd) has the contract for the Maintenance of Sydney’s WestConnex Motorways including the M4, M5, M8, Link and Rozelle Interchange.

Reporting to the M&E Supervisor & Team Leader for daily tasks, this position will be responsible for maintaining the Mechanical equipment in both open road & tunnel environments working in a team of M&E Technicians, inspecting and maintaining the Water Treatment Facilities, Drainage and Tunnel Sumps amongst other plant in an industrial environment.

Candidates holding relevant Australian Trade qualifications, MR licence and experience working in a similar environment are encouraged to apply, as are those from outside the industry with transferrable skill sets.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Relevant Australian Trade Qualifications or Trade Recognition (e.g. Fitter/Machinist, Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter)
• White Card
• Australian C Class (or above) Drivers Licence
• Right to Work in Australia
• Drive and enthusiasm to be part of one of the biggest infrastructure projects in NSW
• A strong work ethic and commitment to Safe Work Practices
• Problem solving / strong customer results orientation
• Understanding and commitment to occupational health and safety requirements and the environment
• Basic maintenance fitter operations (eg maintaining and servicing of pumps, compressor and blowers but not limited to)
• Experience in working shifts over a rotational roster including nights, some weekends and occasional public holidays as part of.

Highly desirable:

• High level of knowledge and experience in water treatment plant operations
• Pumping stations (water, wastewater, drainage) experience
• Understanding of process control and process adjustment
• Chemical dosing equipment experience
• Experience with blowers, aerators and pneumatic systems
• Pipework, valves and discharge equipment knowledge
• Ability to read drawings and manuals
• Use of previous asset management systems.

• Participate in toolbox meetings & pre start risk assessments
• Ensure that safe work practices are observed at all times
• Have a thorough understanding and commitment to occupational health safety and environmental requirements
• Report incidents, non-conformances and near misses and participate in incident investigations.
