Health and Safety Advisor

• $140,000 plus Super, site-based Health and Safety Advisor role, Kings Cross

With excellent training and development opportunities, this position will be working on a major mixed-use development project in Kings Cross, working closely with management to continually elevate health and safety site standards.

About the Company

A leader within the construction industry, this company works on a range of large-scale projects across the commercial, residential, retail and educational sectors. This company has a healthy pipeline of work which is continuing to grow, and as such they are looking to hire a site-based Health and Safety Advisor, to work on one of their major mixed-use developments.

About the role

This role will involve implementing Health and Safety policies and procedures on site, by building strong relationships and trust throughout the site teams. The company has a good health and safety culture, and as such this role is paramount to their values and goals. This role will report into the Health and Safety Manager, and will also work closely with the Project Manager, who both input into the site-based strategies.

Duties

• Implementing Health and Safety policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation
• Visiting site and engaging with managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical Health and Safety related enquires
• Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in Health and Safety performance
• Engaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact

Skills & Experience

• Experience in a similar role ideally within residential, mixed-use or high-rise construction
• Experience implementing health and safety policies, in line with relevant legislative requirements
• CertIV in Health and Safety, or equivalent
• Experience establishing and maintain good working relationship at all levels
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio
