Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as an Estimator in construction, maintenance, minor works, or projects.
• Strong understanding of cost planning, tendering, and quoting processes.
• Experience liaising with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to develop competitive pricing.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to analyze project requirements.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage client expectations and supplier relationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, supporting the Business Development Manager.
• Knowledge of the Perth metro and Southwest WA market is advantageous.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to the Southwest as required.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates across projects, minor works, and maintenance services.
• Manage the tendering process, including reviewing scopes of work, preparing submissions, and pricing strategies.
• Engage with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope information.
• Develop and present quotations, ensuring alignment with project requirements and budgets.
• Support the Business Development Manager in preparing proposals and winning new business.
• Conduct site visits as needed to assess project conditions and verify scope.
• Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and the finance team to ensure pricing accuracy and project feasibility.
• Maintain and update cost databases, supplier pricing, and estimating tools.
• Provide estimating services across the Perth metro and Southwest WA, with occasional travel.
