Our client is a well-established insurance repair builder delivering high-quality residential and commercial repairs across South East Queensland. Partnering with major insurers, they specialize in restoring properties impacted by natural disasters, accidental damage, and unforeseen events. With a strong pipeline of projects, they’re now looking for an experienced Insurance Estimator to join their team.

About the Role

As an Insurance Estimator, you’ll be responsible for assessing property damage, preparing detailed scope of works, and delivering accurate cost estimates for insurance claims. Working closely with project managers, trades, and insurance representatives, you’ll ensure projects run smoothly from assessment through to completion. This is a fast-paced, rewarding role ideal for someone who thrives in delivering high-quality work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess property damage (residential & commercial) and provide accurate repair cost estimates.
• Prepare detailed scope of works and reports for insurance providers.
• Collaborate with trades, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
• Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, and clients to ensure smooth claim processing.
• Review variations, updates, and adjustments to scope of works as required.
• Ensure building codes, industry regulations, and client expectations are met.

About You

• 2-3 years of experience as an Insurance Estimator or Estimator within construction, insurance repair, or restoration.
• Strong understanding of residential/commercial building methods, building codes, and insurance claim processes.
• Ability to interpret damage reports, scope of works, and technical drawings.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with insurers, trades, and clients.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple quotes and deadlines.
• Experience using estimating software (e.g., Buildsoft, Xactimate, or similar).
