We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Technical Officer - Stormwater to join our Infrastructure and Natural Assets Group. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the management of stormwater infrastructure and asset maintenance while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigating and resolving customer issues related to stormwater, waterways, and flooding.
  • Contributing to the development and management of stormwater asset maintenance plans.
  • Providing technical advice to internal teams and clients.
  • Liaising with stakeholders on engineering and asset management matters.
  • Drafting technical reports and responding to customer inquiries.
  • Supporting the team during peak workloads and assisting with budget planning.
About you
  • Experienced in working with infrastructure and asset management, with a solid understanding of how things work in local government.
  • Strong in communication, with excellent customer service skills, and comfortable working with a range of stakeholders.
  • Tech-savvy, with the ability to use digital tools for reporting and collaboration.
  • Well-organised, able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with great attention to detail.
  • A team player with a proactive attitude, always looking for ways to improve processes and contribute to team success.
  • A holder of a current driver’s license and a Tasmanian White Card (or the ability to obtain one).
What we offer you
  • Ongoing, full-time (37.5 hours per week)
  • Base salary between $75,071.65 and $86,731.41 will be offered (dependent on skills and experience) + 12% superannuation
  • 19-day month
