About the role

This is a part-time opportunity to join the marketing team at Melbourne Jewellers, a leading jewellery retailer based in Werribee, VIC. As the Content Creator and social Media Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a dynamic social media strategy to drive engagement and brand awareness.

What you'll be doing

• Creating engaging, on-brand social media content, including images, videos, and written posts for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
• Managing the company's social media channels, monitoring performance, and analysing data to inform content strategy
• Collaborating with the wider marketing team to align social media campaigns with broader marketing initiatives
• Assisting with the development and production of other marketing collateral as needed
• Staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices to ensure the company's online presence remains fresh and relevant

What we're looking for

• 1-2 years of experience in a social media or content creator role, ideally within the retail or fashion industry
• Strong creative flair and an eye for visually engaging content
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to craft compelling social media captions
• Proficiency with social media management tools and analytics platforms
• Up-to-date knowledge of social media trends and best practices
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take direction
• Passion for the jewellery industry and a genuine interest in fashion and design
